메사쿠어컴퍼니가 AI 반도체 IP 전문 기업 에임퓨처와 협력해 신경망 처리장치(NPU) 기반 하드웨어와 자사 AI 소프트웨어를 통합한 제품 개발에 나선다고 31일 밝혔다.
이번 협업은 메사쿠어컴퍼니가 기존 소프트웨어 중심 사업을 넘어 하드웨어 영역으로 확장하며, 소프트웨어와 하드웨어가 최적화된 통합 ‘AI 토털 패키지’를 제공하기 위해 추진됐다. 에임퓨처는 저전력·고효율 NPU를 자체 개발해 다수의 엘지전자 가전제품에 상용화한 경험이 있으며, AIoT, 스마트 가전, 로보틱스 등 엣지 컴퓨팅 분야에서 성능을 검증받았다.
메사쿠어컴퍼니는 자사 AI 알고리즘을 에임퓨처 NPU 하드웨어에 최적화해 탑재함으로써 연산 속도를 향상시키고 전력 소모를 줄인 통합 제품을 출시할 계획이다. 이를 통해 고객사는 별도의 최적화 과정 없이 바로 현장에 도입 가능한 고성능 AI 솔루션을 확보할 수 있다.
