Brils to Build 4,654㎡ Humanoid Center in Songdo… Pushing for a Factory Where Robots Make Robots
As humanoid robots begin to enter manufacturing sites, the competitive landscape of the robotics industry is expanding from hardware manufacturing to learning, reasoning, data acquisition, and mass production systems. To build robots capable of operating in industrial settings, both a space capable of training and repeatedly verifying actual work data, and manufacturing infrastructure are required. Brils is establishing a 4,654-square-meter base in Songdo, Incheon, where physical AI learning and the development and manufacturing of various robot models can be conducted in one location. In the long term, the company envisions gradually implementing a Robots Manufacturing by Robots (RMR) system, where robots participate in the production of other robots, with the ultimate goal of demonstrating an unmanned manufacturing model.
BRILS (CEO Jeon Jin), a robot modularization platform company based on physical AI and on-device AI, plans to establish a 'Physical AI & Humanoid Center' at its headquarters in Songdo, Incheon, and open it in the first half of 2027.

BRILS is expanding its existing production facility at its Songdo headquarters to a total size of 4,654 square meters to create a complex hub that combines research and development with manufacturing. It will establish infrastructure capable of designing and verifying various types of robots, including humanoid robots, quadruped robots, collaborative and industrial robots, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), as well as a comprehensive solution exhibition space.
One of the center's pillars is robot manufacturing. Brils has established a system capable of handling everything from robot development to manufacturing in-house, laying the groundwork for future mass production. Subsequently, it plans to gradually implement the RMR system, in which various types of robots collaborate in the manufacturing process to produce other robots.
The form the company ultimately envisions is a Dark Factory that requires no constant human intervention. However, as the center is currently in the construction phase, neither the RMR nor the Dark Factory is actually in operation.
Training robots with skilled worker movements… From VLM & VLA to manufacturing all in one place
Another key pillar is the learning and inference of physical AI. Brils plans to establish AI data center infrastructure at the center to develop and validate Visual-Language Models (VLM), Visual-Language-Behavior Models (VLA), and on-device AI-based control technologies.
Teleoperation is also utilized. This method involves establishing an imitation learning environment where skilled operators remotely control robots to acquire movement and task data, which the robots then use to learn. The tasks required in actual manufacturing sites are accumulated as data and used to enhance the robots' decision-making and motion models.
Through this, Brils plans to establish a physical AI development system that connects AI model development, robot hardware design, securing training data, verifying control technology, and manufacturing. After opening the center in the first half of 2027, it will also sequentially proceed with establishing a robot mass production system.
Research and data infrastructure will also be expanded beyond Songdo. Along with the construction of a separate data center, BRILS is pursuing the establishment of an AI, materials, and components research institute in Daegu. This institute is scheduled to conduct research on core materials and components for robots, as well as next-generation robot and AI technologies.
CEO Jeon Jin Brils stated, “The Songdo Humanoid Center will serve as a hub where intangible physical AI algorithms learn how to interact with industrial sites through tangible robots,” adding, “We will expand our physical AI robot business by gradually implementing a manufacturing system where robots produce robots.”

BRILS(CEO Jeon Jin)

CEO Jeon Jin Brils
