AI 기반 지식재산권(IP) 보호 솔루션 기업 위고페어가 특허법인 더웨이브와 함께 서울AI허브의 ‘2026 AI 전환(AX) 지원사업’ 컨소시엄에 선정됐다.
서울시가 설립하고 서울대학교 AI연구원이 운영하는 서울AI허브 산업AX혁신센터의 이번 사업은 AI 기술을 보유한 공급기업과 수요기업이 컨소시엄을 구성해 산업 현장에 AI를 적용하고 사업화까지 연결하는 프로그램이다. 올해는 51개 컨소시엄이 신청했으며 기술성과 사업성 등을 평가해 20개 컨소시엄이 최종 선정됐다.
AI로 특허법인 가품 대응 자동화…브랜드 보호 체계 고도화
위고페어와 더웨이브는 이번 사업을 통해 AI 기반 가품 자동 탐지 솔루션을 특허법인의 지식재산권 침해 대응 업무에 맞춰 고도화하고 실제 업무 환경에서 실증(PoC)을 진행할 예정이다.
특허법인 더웨이브는 상표와 디자인, 저작권 분야 전문 변리사로 구성된 브랜드 보호 전담 조직을 운영하며 화장품, 패션, 제약, 엔터테인먼트 등 다양한 기업의 지식재산권 보호 업무를 수행하고 있다.
기존에는 담당자가 온라인 유통 채널을 직접 모니터링하며 위조상품을 찾아내고 침해 증빙 자료를 작성해 신고하는 방식으로 대응해 왔다. 위고페어는 이 과정을 AI로 자동화한 솔루션을 100여 개 브랜드에 공급하고 있으며, 이번 사업에서는 특허법인의 실무 프로세스에 최적화된 형태로 기능을 고도화할 계획이다.
회사 측은 솔루션이 상용화되면 특허법인이 고객사의 온라인 브랜드 침해를 보다 신속하고 효율적으로 대응할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 위고페어는 이번 사업을 계기로 특허법인과 법무법인을 대상으로 한 AI 기반 브랜드 보호 서비스를 확대하고 공동 비즈니스 모델도 발굴할 방침이다.
김종면 위고페어 대표는 “특허법인의 가품 대응 업무는 반복적이면서도 기업 브랜드 가치를 지키는 핵심 업무”라며 “이번 서울AI허브 AX 지원사업을 통해 AI 기반 자동화 체계를 구축하고 국내 패션·뷰티·콘텐츠 기업들이 안심하고 브랜드를 성장시킬 수 있는 환경을 만드는 데 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

WEGOFAIR, an AI-based intellectual property (IP) protection solution company, has been selected for the Seoul AI Hub's '2026 AI Transformation (AX) Support Project' consortium together with patent law firm The Wave.
This project by the Seoul AI Hub Industry AX Innovation Center, established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and operated by the AI Research Institute at Seoul National University, is a program in which AI technology suppliers and demand companies form a consortium to apply AI to industrial sites and connect it to commercialization. This year, 51 consortia applied, and 20 consortia were finally selected after evaluating technological and business feasibility.
Automating Patent Law Firm's Counterfeit Response with AI… Advanced Brand Protection System
Through this project, WEGO FAIRS and The Wave plan to enhance an AI-based automated counterfeit detection solution tailored to the intellectual property infringement response operations of patent law firms and conduct a proof of concept (PoC) in a real-world work environment.
The Wave Patent Law Firm operates a dedicated brand protection organization composed of patent attorneys specializing in trademarks, designs, and copyrights, and handles intellectual property protection for various companies in industries such as cosmetics, fashion, pharmaceuticals, and entertainment.
Previously, the response involved personnel directly monitoring online distribution channels to identify counterfeit goods, compiling evidence of infringement, and filing reports. Wegofair supplies solutions that automate this process using AI to over 100 brands, and in this project, plans to further enhance the functionality to be optimized for the practical processes of patent law firms.
The company expects that once the solution is commercialized, patent law firms will be able to respond to their clients' online brand infringements more quickly and efficiently. Taking this project as an opportunity, Wegofair plans to expand its AI-based brand protection services for patent and law firms and explore joint business models.

Le cabinet d'avocats Wave Patent Law Firm exploite une organisation dédiée à la protection des marques, composée d'avocats spécialisés en marques de commerce, dessins et modèles et droits d'auteur, et gère la protection de la propriété intellectuelle pour diverses entreprises dans des secteurs tels que les cosmétiques, la mode, les produits pharmaceutiques et le divertissement.
Auparavant, la lutte contre la contrefaçon impliquait une surveillance directe des canaux de distribution en ligne par du personnel afin d'identifier les produits contrefaits, de rassembler les preuves de contrefaçon et de rédiger des rapports. Wegofair fournit des solutions qui automatisent ce processus grâce à l'intelligence artificielle à plus de 100 marques et, dans le cadre de ce projet, prévoit d'améliorer encore les fonctionnalités afin de les optimiser pour les processus opérationnels des cabinets d'avocats spécialisés en droit des brevets.
