I grew up watching SpongeBob.
And along with keeping me entertained for hours on end, the show also used to make me a little hungry.
Allow me to explain.
In case you haven’t seen it (spoiler alert), SpongeBob works at the Krusty Krab, an underwater fast food joint that dishes out a signature sandwich known as the Krabby Patty.
While it looks like any old hamburger, nobody knows exactly what’s in it. The secret formula has never been revealed. And yet every character in that show treats it like the greatest food ever made.
I, too, wanted a bite of this special sandwich but was forced to admire it from afar.
That got me thinking about all the fictional food, gadgets, and technology from movies and TV that we’ve spent years wishing actually existed.
