“AI Learns in Freight Transportation”… Goward Selected for FT’s ‘Asia-Pacific 500 High Growth Group’
Goward was selected for the '2026 Asia-Pacific 500 High Growth Companies' announced by the British business newspaper Financial Times (FT).
The Financial Times' "500 High-Growth Companies in Asia-Pacific" is a list that selects high-growth companies in the Asia-Pacific region based on revenue growth rates and compound annual growth rates (CAGR) over the past three years (2021–2024). In this announcement, Goward ranked 7th in the Logistics & Transportation sector and 108th out of the 500 total companies, establishing itself as a leading high-growth logistics firm in the Asia-Pacific region.
Goward is an on-demand freight transportation startup that responds to customers' real-time transportation needs, including quick service, freight trucks, and linked delivery. In particular, it is attempting a structural transformation of the logistics industry by integrating an AI-based operating system into the freight forwarding sector, where digital transformation has been difficult.
The company is accumulating operational data including customer-specific order history, recurring transport patterns, preferred vehicles, requests, communication methods by manager, and experience in handling exceptions. The company explains that, based on this, it is focusing on building an AI-based logistics execution platform that goes beyond automating simple, repetitive tasks to understand and respond to the specific context of freight transportation for each customer.

Learning customer-specific transportation patterns… Expanding into 'Vertical AI Logistics'
Based on this operational structure, the company has expanded its business scope by securing corporate clients across various industries, including Musinsa , Shinsegae Food , Kurly , Osstem Implant , and Lotte Well Food .
Earnings growth is also continuing. In 2025, following the FT evaluation period, the company recorded sales of 16.3 billion won and EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) of 1.8 billion won, demonstrating both growth and profitability.
Baek Seung-hwan, CEO of Goward, stated, “For the freight forwarding sector, where digital transformation has not been fully achieved, AI-based intelligent transformation will be the key solution,” adding, “We will grow into a leading vertical AI logistics company representing the Asia-Pacific region.”
Meanwhile, the company recently changed its corporate name from AlgoLab to GoWord, and was listed under its previous corporate name in this FT announcement.
