Nearly two months after it announced that it is bringing its PC gaming emulation software, GameHub, to macOS, GameSir has finally released it, albeit in beta.
As a refresh, GameHub is originally an app that allows users to emulate Windows games on their Android devices. The software lets users sign into their Steam accounts and play PC games on their devices. Now, macOS users can enjoy the same experience.
According to an announcement by the official GameHub account, a beta version of the software is now available for macOS. Users will be able to sign in to their Steam accounts, load up their library, install a game, and start playing. GameHub says it will not only sync the Steam library, but also account value, play time, and cloud saves.
A video attached to the announcement even mentions support for the Epic Games Store, a feature that isn't available on the Android app. However, GameNative, which is a rival PC emulating app for Android gained support for Epic games earlier this year. It also has support for GOG and Amazon Luna.
ⓘ GameHubOther features of GameHub for Mac include support for multiple Steam accounts, personalized compatibility profiles, and the ability to import a local game from the system. Interested users can sign up for the beta here. There's also a Discord channel that you can join.
GameHub says the decision to launch the software in beta first is so as to get player feedback and improve the features. However, it has disclosed that the release of a stable version will be based on user feedback and development progress.
