Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released back in 2023 and is a very good game with some fun Easter eggs and references hidden in it. But one secret remained hidden, even after the developer who included it in the third-person action game teased fans online about it. Now, someone has finally found the secret after inputting the Konami code in a menu.

Back in 2025, Respawn UI director Jordan DeVries posted cryptically on social media about a secret buried in Jedi: Survivor that players had yet to find. “Imagine shipping a (submitted, approved) UI easter egg in your game that no one has yet noticed or found,” posted the developer last year. That kicked off some players digging around the Soulslike Star Wars sequel for this hidden secret. But nobody seemingly found it until now, according to DeVries.

On November 1, DeVries shared on social media that user TowerBunga on Twitter had found the Easter egg after inputting the famous Konami code in the Force upgrade menu in Jedi: Survivor. And once entered correctly, a giant space frog appears and eats a strange moon in the sky. It’s a bizarre but amusing secret that took three years to find.

Over on Reddit, DeVries responded to the news that the well-hidden secret had been discovered. “It’s been a long three years…”

I always love when fans find secrets and Easter eggs in games many years after release. It’s a reminder that there are likely many, many secrets still buried in games, all of which are just waiting to be found by someone. It’s also a wonderful reminder that, despite it seeming like the internet has cataloged everything in every game, there still remains some mystery out there. Who knows? One day, you might stumble upon something nobody has seen before in an old game, and your discovery could end up as a blog on Kotaku dot com.
