We're in the final hours of Amazon’s October version of Prime Day, but the retailer still has some hefty discounts on tons of classic board games. One of the best deals brings the latest version of Catan back to its lowest-ever price, but you'll find plenty more discounts from big publishers like Asmodee and Hasbro. In other words, now's a great time to bulk up your tabletop collection and plan some fall game nights.

Starting at the top, the latest version of Settlers of Catan, one of the most iconic strategy games of all time, has dropped to its lowest price of the year with a 40% discount. This resource management game is pretty accessible to any experience level, making it an easy choice for casual game nights. Other classic board games like Ticket to Ride have dropped to their lowest price since the previous Prime Day.

For more veteran tabletop players, we’d recommend something like Pandemic, which features longer co-op campaigns. If you’re just looking for something quick and cheap, you can get classic Candy Land, Jenga, or the quick-playing Monopoly Deal card game for under $15.

Themed Editions Also on Sale

Amazon is also dropping deals on specific themed editions of board games. These are typically based on more casual and family-friendly versions of classic games, like the Bluey version of Monopoly Jr, offering the incentive of a franchise tie-in to bring your family to the game night table. I'm personally a sucker for anything Pokemon-themed.

Though according to our reviewer, Matt Thrower, it’s only really worth it if you don’t already own the original 7 Wonders Duel game.

Should You Wait for Lower Prices?

Board games that are already on sale are unlikely to see lower prices, even during Black Friday. However, I do think we’ll see new discounts on heavy-hitters like Wingspan that are currently missing from this list. We’ve also yet to see solid deals on trading card games and tabletop franchises like Warhammer.
