트라이에브리싱은 IR 피칭과 오픈이노베이션, 일대일 비즈니스 미팅, 전시, 콘퍼런스 등을 통해 스타트업과 투자자·대기업·창업지원기관을 연결하는 행사다. 올해 행사는 서울 동대문디자인플라자에서 이틀 동안 진행됐다.
엑스엘에이트는 아트홀 1관과 2관, 컨퍼런스홀 등 동시에 운영된 3개 공간의 약 40개 세션에 이벤트캣을 적용했다. 발표자의 음성을 실시간으로 인식해 번역 자막과 음성으로 전달하면서 해외 참가자가 세션 내용을 이해하도록 지원했다.

As global startup events involve entrepreneurs and investors from various countries participating simultaneously, language accessibility is a key factor in determining the overall experience. This is especially true during IR pitching, where company names, technology names, and investment and industry terms must be conveyed accurately within a short timeframe. If interpretation is slow or technical terms are mistranslated, it can affect not only the flow of the presentation but also the audience's understanding of the company's business model. XL8, an AI simultaneous interpretation company, supplied its real-time interpretation solution, EventCAT, to 'Try Everything 2026,' which took place from the 9th to the 10th.
Try Everything is an event that connects startups with investors, large corporations, and startup support organizations through IR pitching, open innovation, one-on-one business meetings, exhibitions, and conferences. This year's event was held for two days at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.
XL8 applied EventCat to approximately 40 sessions across three spaces operated simultaneously, including Art Hall 1 and 2 and the Conference Hall. It supported international participants in understanding the session content by recognizing the presenter's voice in real time and delivering it as translated subtitles and audio.

EventCat is based on the Simultaneous Machine Translation (SiMT) engine and automatic chunking technology developed by XL8. Automatic chunking is a method that divides a speaker's utterance into meaningful units and starts translation without waiting for the sentence to end.
The company explained that this technology enables translation speeds of less than 2 seconds on average. It focused on reducing the time lag between the presentation and subtitles by providing translation results sequentially while maintaining the context of the beginning, even during long presentations.
Prior to the event, company names, technology names, and technical terms frequently used in the startup, investment, and IT sectors were incorporated into the glossary. This process was designed to reduce the likelihood of standard translation models misidentifying proper nouns or new technology terms, and to provide translation results tailored to the event's theme.
EventCat was also applied to the finals of the '2026 Seoul Unicorn Challenge.' During the IR pitching session, which featured seven domestic and international startups, company names and product/technology terms were linked to a glossary and delivered in real time.
With this supply, XL8 has provided EventCat to three of Korea's leading global startup events: NextRise, COMEUP, and TryEverything. The company has operated the service at NextRise for four consecutive years and applied the solution to COMEUP in December 2025. The company plans to utilize this as a 'Triple Crown' reference secured in the AI interpretation market for startup events.
Jung Young-hoon, CEO of XL8, also participated as a panelist in the 'AI-Driven Startups Part 1: Startups, How Far Have You Used AI?' session held on the first day of the event.
