The Legend of Zelda franchise is set to return to a classic era in 2027, with new releases coming next spring, including characters from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
It's been quiet on the mainline Legend of Zelda front, with Tears of the Kingdom launching in 2023, with no word about the next new mainline game, outside the remake of Ocarina of Time, which is set to release in 2026. Sure, Echoes of Wisdom launched in 2024, but that was a spin-off in the vein of the older 2D Legend of Zelda titles, rather than a brand-new title of the same scale as the mainline entries that became huge hits on the Nintendo Switch.

The Legend of Zelda fans who want to own plastic recreations of their favorite characters from Hyrule will get the chance to do so next year. The official Nintendo of America Instagram account has uploaded images of The Legend of Zelda Heroes of Hyrule, a set of figures made in collaboration with Hasbro, which are tentatively set to launch on May 1, 2027, shortly after the release of the upcoming live-action movie.
The Legend of Zelda Heroes of Hyrule is currently composed of three figures: Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf, all using their Tears of the Kingdom design, including equippable items like the Master Sword. Those who want to pre-order the figures can do so on the Hasbro Pulse website when they go live on July 22, 2026.
