With June just around the corner, it's once again that time of the year. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, the entire tech industry is descending on Taipei as it prepares to showcase its latest developments at Computex 2026. Fortunately, for those of us stuck at home, tech companies have been sharing information as to what we can expect from them this year. For instance, Alienware gave us a peek into what it's showing off this year, and it's good news for people in the market for a new gaming monitor.
Alienware's 39'' OLED monitor brings a world first to market
It's also huge, to boot
The big star of the show here is the Alienware 39 5K OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3926QW). Alienware claims that the monitor is the "first-to-market four-stack, three-subpixel RGB stripe tandem OLED panel." This technology helps Alienware solve some common problems with using OLED monitors, and delivers "higher brightness, increased color volume, sharper text, and incredible black performance."
It's more than just the RGB panel, though. We're also seeing 1,300 nits HDR peak brightness, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, infinite contrast, and 99% DCI-P3 coverage with Delta E
Alienware also revealed that the AW3926QW will feature what it calls a "Personalized Algorithm." This feature actively learns your usage habits (such as brightness and the kind of stuff you display on your screen) and uses that information to tweak energy input at the pixel level for the best results per scene. It also allows the monitor to reproduce colors properly in both light and dark scenes.
